About TerraCool Hubs
Traditional materials.
Modern engineering.
TerraCool Hubs is a climate adaptation research initiative combining ancient wisdom with cutting-edge engineering to democratize access to sustainable cooling.
Our Mission
Engineering equitable access to cooling
Heat inequality is one of the most underreported consequences of climate change. While wealthy households install air conditioning, billions of people in developing regions endure dangerous heat without any recourse.
TerraCool Hubs was founded on the belief that the solution already exists in nature. Terracotta — a material humanity has used for millennia — has inherent cooling properties that, when engineered precisely, can deliver meaningful relief at a fraction of the cost of conventional cooling.
We are building the research base, the prototypes, and the community partnerships to bring this vision to scale.
What We Stand For
Our core values
Science-First
Every claim we make is backed by rigorous testing. We publish openly and share our methodology so the world can build upon our work.
Community-Centered
We design for the communities most affected by heat inequality, not as a market segment but as the primary beneficiaries of our work.
Radical Transparency
We operate with full transparency on our funding, research findings, and deployment outcomes — because trust is built through openness.
The People
Meet the team
A multidisciplinary team united by a common belief: that sustainable cooling is a right, not a privilege.
